Driving Directions

The Walk of Atlantic City is located in the heart of Atlantic City directly in front of the New Atlantic City Convention Center, Sheraton Inn, and The Light House at the end of the Atlantic City Expressway. It is conveniently located in the middle of it all and is a two block walk from the Train and bus station. Here is the official details . . .

“The Walk” is a dynamic urban retail and entertainment project, featuring nationally recognized factory outlet retailers, interactive entertainment and restaurants in a 320,000 sq. ft. complex.

Developed by the acclaimed Cordish Company of Baltimore, Maryland, and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, “The Walk” creates a major retail/entertainment district which strongly links Atlantic City's Convention Center and transportation Center with the Boardwalk-casino-hotel district. Designed by Baltimore-based Carter Burgess Architects, the project lines the Michigan Avenue corridor and covers eight city blocks.

To enhance the urban fabric and create true streetscapes, the architect's design breaks the large blocks of one-level buildings into a series of stylish sub-buildings, with distinctive and varied two-story masonry facades. Enhancing the facades are creative, colorful tenant signage and storefront displays. Other amenities include plazas, fountains, whimsical kiosks and environmental graphics. The project is slated to open in the summer of 2003.
